Terms of Service & Billing

1. Parties

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between OÜ HMB tech ("we", "us", "our"), and you ("Subscriber", "you") as a user of the Skim HQ newsletter service available at skimhq.com.

By subscribing to Skim HQ, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not subscribe.

2. The Service

Skim HQ is a curated email subscription delivering:

• Business Ideas Digest — daily email containing 2–5 graded startup ideas sourced from public signals (Hacker News, Reddit, news, social media). Each idea includes a grade (A / B+ / B), country fit score, who pays, revenue model, and signal source.
• Income Opportunities Digest — daily email containing unconventional and grey-area income strategies with risk, ethics, and potential ratings.

Content frequency, format, and focus may change over time. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email.

3. Subscription and Billing

Plans and pricing

All prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices are in EUR.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You authorise Skim HQ to charge your payment method on file at the applicable renewal rate. You will receive an email receipt after each charge.

Payment processing

All payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store or process card data directly. By subscribing, you also agree to the terms of service of our payment provider.

4. Cancellation

• You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard after signing in (via the billing portal) or by using the contact details below
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then
• No partial refunds for unused days within a billing period, except as required by applicable law
• Annual subscribers who cancel within 14 days of the first charge may request a pro-rata refund

5. Refund Policy

Given the nature of digital content, we do not offer refunds for completed billing periods. Exceptions:

• Annual plan — full refund if requested within 14 days of the first paid charge
• Technical failure — if we fail to deliver the service for more than 7 consecutive days due to our fault, you may request a pro-rata credit
• Statutory rights — nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law

6. Content Disclaimer

• Business ideas and income opportunities are based on publicly available signals and the judgment of the editorial team
• We do not verify that any idea is suitable for your personal circumstances, jurisdiction, or financial situation
• Market conditions, regulations, and competitive landscapes change — ideas that appear valid today may not be valid tomorrow
• Any action you take based on digest content is entirely at your own risk

7. Intellectual Property

All digest content, including curation methodology, scoring systems, editorial voice, and email design, is the intellectual property of Skim HQ. You may share individual ideas with attribution to "Skim HQ (skimhq.com)" but may not resell, republish, or redistribute digest content systematically without written permission.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your subscription credentials with others or allow third parties to access digest content on your behalf
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect content from digest emails or this website
• Use the service to build a competing product that replicates our curation methodology
• Attempt to circumvent payment or access restrictions

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your subscription without refund.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skim HQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on digest content.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Estonia.

EU Consumers: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
